The swimming pool at Masseria Giulio measures 12m x 6m and features an additional 1.5m radius circular stepped platform in one corner. The pool is 1.35m deep throughout and the corner platform is 50cm deep so is perfect for our younger guests.
In keeping with our ethos of avoiding the unnecessary use of manmade chemicals as much as possible, the pool is primarily treated with salt rather than chlorine. However, the water has the same salinity as human tears (about 10% of the salt level of the sea). Not only is this more environmentally friendly, it is also much more pleasant to swim in - so no more intense smell of chlorine, no red eyes and no skin irritations caused by added chemicals!!
The swimming pool area is completely surrounded by a metal fence and the gates can be locked when younger visitors are on the premises.
There are large umbrellas and plenty of sun loungers for guests to use around the pool. We also provide towels and beach umbrellas for use either by the pool or for you to take to one of Puglia's fantastic beaches.
The pool is open all year round - although it is not heated other than by the sun.
